Default Customizing Armor

Please read the post before posting. I don't want some half-baked assumptions on what you think this thread is about from the title alone.

Basically I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to customize the characters appearance a bit more. For example, when you have a sword you have the OPTIONAL choice to make a sheath visable on your side waist or back. Have focus items dangling from the side of your belt as an option. Daggers sheathed on your leg or behind your belt. This is a very BASIC idea. And sorry if it's been suggested before, the search is working for me.

You know that they would just teleport to your hands (unless you are saying they arent actually placed in any of this stuff)

Either way...this sounds complicated...nice...but I would rather be able to have a thin or fat character than a sheath

/signed...but at the very bottom of the todo list.

World of Warcraft has been able to utilize this option on their characters somewhat, even with their less than stellar graphics... My rogue has a one handed Sword on her back and a dagger on her side. When my toon draws her weps, her hands actually go to grab them, instead of them magically appearing in her hands. I'm sure the same can be implemented in GW. I myself am very aesthetically picky, and little quirks like this will, imo as well as others, greatly increase my/our interest in the game.... GW already has a nice customization feature with the dye colors, cape/mask options and the like, so this suggested feature will be a very nice addition...

(this is a nice duplicate thread to the katana/sheath one, which has gone way off topic already ^.^)

i am against human cloning so anything that helps with customization of characters gets my full support!

(by the way, the whole against human cloning thing is a joke, its just that its so easy to find your own clone in GW as it is, i thought i'd make a joke and... yeah.... anyways....)

Weapons wouldn't be sheathed in them handy. They would simply be for novelty purposes. A complicated, it's not. It would be in the same way you select whether you want your head item or cloak to be shown.

I'm all for the novelty purposes. Can't say it's too high on my demand list though. I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to add in a draw animation for each character either...

Well I think this is a cool idea.

Just like to add I think they should only be show in town when you appear outside your weapons are in your hands so that removes the extra work of "drawing" your sword etc.

I think it would look quite nice to have someone showing their glowing axe on a loop at their belt and a shield on their back!!

Zubie why not have the weapons in their sheaths when in outposts or towns. And just appear in hand like normal. Because a drawing animation creates complications because it's not good if people need to draw their sword as a whole ton of monsters are piling on their heads.

But not an urgent requirement. After some of the more important issues have been resolved.
